About us …
The Medical Explorers is a co-ed club open to all students who are at least 14 years old (and have completed the 8th grade) but who are not yet 21, interested in pursuing careers in medicine or in learning more about opportunities in the medical field. Meetings consist of presentations by physicians, healthcare workers, tours within the hospital and off-site visits. There is something new to learn at each meeting.
Last year 80 high school students from 23 local high schools participated in our program.
Post 169 meets monthly during the school year in Lance Auditorium, unless otherwise announced, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. This year (2013-2014) meetings will be held from 6:30 – 8:00 pm on the first Tuesday of the month.
